Daily Poojas
DailyPoojas

The Day begins with the playing of the Sathya Sai Suprabatham. The Suprabatham is a collection of hymns recited during the early morning hours to "Awaken" the Deities. Its deeper significance is a reminder to all devotees to awaken the inner divinity within themselves by continuously chanting the Lord's Name.

After, Abhishekam to all the Moorthys takes place as a part of the Morning / First Pooja. Then, all of the Moorthys are adorned with new Vasthras (clothes) for the day, and thereafter the morning ritual begins with invoking the blessings from Lord Ganesha. Finally, the First Pooja ends with all partaking in the Kakad (Morning) Arathi for Baba.

As the clock strikes Noon, the Second Pooja for the day takes place. Prasadam is offered to the Deities, and all devotees take part in the Madhya (Noon) Arathi for Baba.

The Third Pooja for the day takes place during the Evening hours, with everyone partaking in the Dhoop (Evening) Arathi.

The Final / Fourth Pooja for the day takes place during the Night hours. The Vasthras for all the deities are changed once again, and devotees finally take part in the Shej (Night) Arathi.

Bhajans
Bhajans

Bhajan (devotional) singing is a Sadhana that is emphasized by Bhagavan greatly. In fact, it is undisputable that many come into the Sai Fold by first listening to, and getting attracted to, the Beauty and Grandeur of Sai Bhajans.

The essential purpose is to earn the Love of God. Combining one's voice, tune, feeling, and rhythm, to the appropriate beat of the song, the devotee should immerse himself in the singing. When the Name is chanted as a song, set to music, it delights the heart immensely.

Bhajans take place every Thursday and Friday from 7.30pm to 8.30 pm

What is gained through meditation in the Krta-yuga, mainly through performing sacrificial rites in the Treta-yuga, and mainly through ritual worship in the Dvapara-yuga, is obtained through chanting the Name of God in the Kali-yuga

bhajans2_edited.jpg
  1.  Devotees must be seated a few minutes before the start of bhajans. Always remember and be convinced that Lord Sai is present and presiding.

  2.  Devotees must observe strictly the dress-code enforced in Prasanthi Nilayam while attending Bhajans or Study Group Meetings

  3.  Sitting Arrangement should allow to seat men on one side and women on the other side, in proper lines - one behind the other. Bhajan leaders, and musicians must be seated in the front rows.

  4.  Sing Familiar bhajans so that all can share bliss.

  5.  Any Devotional song in any language can be sung as long as all can follow.

  6.  Never be ashamed to sing the Name of God. Be proud that you get the chance. Be glad that your tongue is put to the best use.

  7.  Bhajans must be sweet to the ear.

  8. People should return from Bhajan carrying the elevated, uplifted and sublime mood created by the atmosphere at the Bhajan. Therefore after the bhajan, people should disperse quietly maintaining silence.
